Yes, I'm sure you're right about that. There's already been serious talk in congress about a national sales tax and about forcing on-line sales companies (obviously targeted at ebay) to report to the IRS. Personally, I run my ebay sales, such as they are, through my business bookkeeping system anyway and pay taxes on them so it doesn't much matter to me except for the big brother aspects. Once I subtract ebay fees, paypal fees, and the cost of goods sold, there's almost no net profit anyway. But I'm sure some of their "power sellers" are grossing millions of dollars a year and the IRS would love to have a close look at it.
