My personal preference for my own Power Wagon is to use it to its limits (which are incredible) and forget restoration for now. When I am too old and beat up to do anymore extreme wheeling, then I may do a restoration on it. In the meantime, I am finishing the total frame off restoration of my 1940 Dodge VD-21 1-ton pickup. Do what appeals to you the best, I don't ridicule anyone who goes the restoration route or who uses their Power Wagon as it was designed.
