Did any of you all see the pictures of the truck Paul Caudell/MARS built for a medical missionary organization for Africa, in the Oct. 2000 Power Wagon Advertiser? M37 cab and flatbed with nice canvas top on WC62 (1.5 ton 6X6, WW2) chassis. Complete with Hercules diesel, locker on front/rear axle and front disks. Beautiful!!

Re WDX price, and manuals:
If your WDX has a good body with little to no rust and all mechanical systems work well (they must if you just up and drove it a couple of hundred miles) then you got a fantastic deal. Re manuals: Portrayal Press sells a compendium of owner's manuals which includes a lot of maintenance items, specs and options like winch and governor. I think it's called "D-18503". They also sell the military M601/615 (militarized civilian PWs) Operation manual bound together with the Ordnance Maintenance manual, together called TM 9-8854 and 8855. Get both. Vintage Power Wagons may sell reproduction or even original owner's manuals, but the Portrayal item has information for all the years and is surely a better buy for the $$. Re parts manuals, you could get the parts book from VPW. However, the vast majority of mechanical (NOT body!!) parts are identical to M37s and Portrayal's repro military M37 parts manual is wonderful, as are the
Operation and Organizational Maintenance and Body & Chassis and Engine & Clutch maintenance manuals.
At a minimum I'd buy D-18503 and TM 9-1854/5.
