My son and I went on a drive to see if a M-37 I once found and have tried to buy over the years still existed. It did but as usual he wasn't home,so I left a note as usual.Truck has no eng. or trans. but has straight body. Why he just lets it sit and collect rust mystifies me! Been tring for over 10 yrs.Anyway I kept going around the countryside taking side roads and looking beside, behind buildings and fields and came accross an old junkyard I've never seen and decided to look for any old dodges.Low and behold he had what he call a 48,oldstyle PW with a wreaker unit in the PU bed that has been modified beyond salvage as a PU bed.The truck has been kept indoors for years and has a straight fenders, cab, and frontend but no winch.Checked the vin tag on the door hinge post and it read K-6 W300 and the vin # started with 83- - - and I knew it was a later model and told him so but he said the paper work was for a 48'.He has owned it since the early 60's.SORRY AL, he doesn't want to sell it but it was fun to find and look at and he has a pic of him with the truck about 25-30 yrs ago,8x10 color, sharp. The best part of new PW addicts that have been bitten bad is the way it will cause old PW addicts to start jonesing again to search out and find hidden or lost PWs. Later AL
