1911 45ACP by John Browning,,, accepted as military issue side arm in 1911 and issued until 1985?? many semi auto pistols currently available from 22LR to 50AE. 1911 45ACP still unsurpassed in the opinion of many as a combat/ self defense handgun. 1911 will likely be carried until big brother confiscates the last one.
