I just your earlirt post about timing.
You will need to check the timing mark on the vibration damper has not moved.
Also the timing chain covermay have been replaced.
There are multiple covers. Late model \6 covers are for
cars with AC. The covers interchange but the time marks do not interchange.
Procedure:
1.remove the #1 spark plug and the value cover
2.Rotate the engine and watch the rocker arms
3. On the rotation after the intake closes is the ignition stoke.
4. Put a long wood dowel down the #1 spark plug and SLOWLY turn the crank to raise the #1 piston.
the wood dowel will be pushed out the spark plug hole so GO SLOW and EASY.
DO NOT let the wood dowel bind or stick
5. When the dowel is as far out as possible and BEFORE the dowel starts back into the
cylinder the piston is at top dead center.
6. Stop. Check the top dead center mark on the dampener.
IF the mark is ok then proceed with the timing as normal
If not, use a file or chisel and remark the dampener and time from the new mark.
Then order a new dampener.
