Although I've only been at this for awhile, I learned how to drive on a brand new one in 1955. One of things that comes to mind right away is the horsepower rating. My 47 had as I recall 73 HP while my current 49 has a house pulling 78 HP. Another item right off was the change in the way the insrumentation was laid out.
