I've always wondered about using standard grade 8 bolts for replacement head bolts. They are the same strength, but all the head bolts I have seen have a reduced shank diameter that the standard grade 8's don't have. Any information out there as to why the reduced diameter is used (ease of installation perhaps?) Thanks! Rob
