I have an aux. fuel pump (NAPA#610-1051) back by the tank and a regulator (NAPA#730-2368)up by the carb, set at 3 p.s.i. The pump is switched seperatly as Ol'GUS seems to do well on the stock mech. pump during the winter months. I only use the electric pump when at high elevations or temps. I change & check my oil often but haven't detected any fuel in it yet.
