This will be an easy one if you have an all original early
series M37. My friend has a mount, but nothing else. On his truck, a 53 M37. I have a B1 model with the mount on the door (removed, for reasons all of you know about). It has a spinner and a bar which goes over the spinner shaft and holds the spare on. The question is, does the early mount use the same parts? Spinner and bar? He has heard he needs a "plate". Is that like the WW2 WCs, or the early PWs, a big cast iron plate? What configuration is correct for the early spare tire mount?
