The moulding is sandwiched between the roof panel and the windshield panel. The easiest way to remove it is to grind it out. I had to do this on a c3pw. I machined up a new moulding out of brass in two pcs. The two halves were soldered together in the center of the cab. I fastened the whole thing in place by bedding it in body seam calk and sheet metal screwing it in place with countersunk screws. The screw heads were then sealed. I do believe VPW has a repair moulding, but I dont know how it is fastened.
