The first annual Power Wagon Rally in Southern Indiana will be September 29, 30 and Oct. 1st.
Friday will be a tail gate party/picnic for owners and admirers of Power Wagons at Mesker Park shelter house #15. Starting at 6:00 p.m. and lasting until? Bring your own grill and food and enjoy the company of other Power Wagon enthusiasts. (sorry, no glass containers allowed)
Saturday will be a show/swap at the Speedy Oiler at 2920 N. St.Joe Ave from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cost of a vehicle and/or swap space is $10. Admission to the public is free.

This show is open to all Power Wagon models both civilian (WDX-WM300) and military (M-37 and its variants) as well as all dedicated military vehicles, Dodge 4X4 vehicles and 1971 and earlier Dodge 2wd trucks.
Voting for Peoples Choice will benefit the Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
Sunday will be breakfast at JoJo's restaurant on U.S. 41 next to the Drury Inn at 9:00 a.m. until ?
The Drury Inn will be the host Hotel for this event and a block of rooms is being held until Sept. 15 for Power Wagon enthusiasts. Be sure to mention the Power Wagon Rally to get the special room rate of $59.95 for two people.

Directions for Power Wagons in S.IN.
The host hotel for the event is the Drury Inn at 3901 N. U.S. 41.
This is on the corner of Lynch Road and just south of the airport.
Rooms will be available at a special rate until September 15th. There are many amenities with the room rental and there is a large parking lot available for tow vehicles. Non-smokers rooms are available. To contact the hotel for more information or to reserve a room, call 812-423-5818.
To get to the show from the north take the Diamond Avenue exit just south of the Drury Inn. Turn right (west) and go under the overpass. Once you emerge you will go to the 6th light. This is St. Joe. Ave. Turn right (north) and go one block to get to the show. To get to the picnic/tailgate party, turn left (south) and go to the first road to the right. This is Buchanan Road and is at the base of the hill. Turn right and go about 0.3 miles. The drive to the shelter house will be on the left.
To get to the show from the south, go through Evansville to the diamond Ave. exit and follow the previous directions.
From the West on I-64, turn south on Indiana route 65 and take it to Indiana 66. This is a four lane road. To get to the shelter house go to the first light after turning and turn right. Go to the first road to the left and go about 0.4 miles. The drive will be on the right. If you miss the turn, go ahead to the top of the hill. Just before you get to the top, there will be a gravel parking lot on the left. Shelter house #3 will also be there. Go through the lot and follow the signs to shelter house #15.
To get to the show/swap, go to the second light and turn left. The show will be one block north on the left.
