Hey guys, I've had noise out of the valve train on my '84 W150 and have come to the conclusion that either the cam wasn't broken in roght and has a flat lobe or the cam bearings should have been replaced and this is why it rattles like a diesel and has low oil pressure.

I was looking for another 318 to drop in and came across a '77 W150 with the 440 engine and also the transmission/transfer case intact. the engine needs a bit of head work but is a strong engine otherwise. Besides big block engine mounts and exhaust manifolds, what all would I need to change to drop this into my truck. We don't have emissions testing here locally (yet) so I'm not concerned about this legally. I just want a strong truck to get through the winter.
