Actually, I went out to look at a '68 (last year as far as I know) WM300 a few years ago and it was hammered worse than any PW I've ever seen. Sometimes people parked the older rigs due to engine problems and so the sheet metal is actually in decent shape. You can always rebuild another engine. I drive my '56 C-4 frequently so I appreciate the synchro 4spd and factory 12V, but unless you're running it around a lot it wouldn't make much difference. For resale I'd check out the '40s WDXs with the slanted-top bed rails. They look cooler! And if you can find one with a winch, it adds a lot too the truck, in terms of practical use, and collecto value. If you are looking in the Northwest, I know a guy in Portland who has several PWs for sale.
