If your truck has the flat front, the best thing you can do is buy the frame extensions for a winch truck, and the split front bumper.
Then use a chunk of 6" steel C channel to span the distance between the frame. Use 1/2" grade 8 bolts and flat pieces of steel to bolt the channel to the frame.
Take off the lower piece of the grille and leave the upper.
You'll have a perfect spot to mount an electric winch.
Use 0-gage copper wire to run from your battery to the winch.
Use a Mopar 100-amp alternator off an Imperial or late model Fifth Avenue or similar vehicle.
You'll need an electronic regulator to match.
Use a pair Ford-type starter relays mounted side-by-side to shunt full battery power to the winch.
If you decide to carry a second battery, get a battery isolator kit from an auto parts store to charge and isolate it.
