I ran Michelin X 11.00x16 radial "NATO Gnarlies" on my M-37. They were 39 inches in diameter and had a footprint about 9" wide. They were awesome. I never found any terrain they couldn't conquer.
They had big tread blocks and made a little noise at highway speed, but not too much.
If you can find them at a DRMO, you'll pay as little as $50 each for them. From surplus retailers, you'll pay up to $130. They're rare.
They have a steel belt and steel sidewall plies. They run nicely at 35psi, but the USMC runs them on 50,000-pound armored vehicles at close to 80psi.
They grip like cat's paws, stop great, corner incredibly, ride smooth.
Good luck finding some.
