You can find NP 540's that will bolt up to standard Dodge V8 bellhousings. Look in large Dodge trucks from the 60's, like a dump truck. When you get a tranny then you can match a clutch disc up to the spline pattern. Most of these tranny's were direct drive, to re-configure to OD you will need to replace the gears, kind of pricey. The OD gear for the 540 is out of production and hard to find, so you may want to use the 541 or 542. Another possible box is the Clark 280 series. Good luck!
