I don't know if civilian PW's had factory grill guards, but I have made 3 sets of them and they work great. Just use strap iron, heated and bent around large diameter pipe (about 8") and bend appropriate places to look right. I have a set on my B1PW, a friend in Rock Springs, WY has a set on his C2PW and I sold a set to a fellow in Michigan. Use 1/4' cold rolled rod for the cross bars.
