had an Army Air Force towing tractor with a T214 (Clarks Clarktor-6) when I got it the big end of cylinder #1 (next to the flywheel) was run and cylinder #5 had a hole in the piston crown. I'd put both down to exceess work and zero maintenance as it had been used to tow busses for years. Another factor would be the lack of governor NOT a wise move on one of these engines, given the weak head gasket between the two close pairs of cylinders. Gordon. 8-)
