If the seal between the brake pedal rod and the master
cylinder is worn, the fluid will squish past it when
you step on the pedal but the reservoir will look full.
Pain in the butt emptying the cylinder and honing it
out. You can get a hone that will fit in your electric
drill or get a rebuilt master cylinder. You will need
a rebuild kit with new seals if you decide to hone the
old one. Pull it and feel the inside walls looking
for indentations and pitting caused by corrosion. The
hardest part is getting the fluid back down to the
wheel cylinders after refilling the master cylinder.
Walmart sells a super sucker for about $25 that will
make this job much easier. Good luck.
