That is exactly my point. It's not that simple. You must inspect the crank before buying. Just because it says IND 30 does not necessarily tell you anything about the crank. Maybe the type no. would tell you if you had more documentation but you can't assume that the crank matches the plate anyway. All IND 30s are not exactly alike. There can be variations, especially of the crank & flywheel, depending on what the thing was driving. Though there is a "standard" SAE #3 industrial housing & flywheel which takes a different crank flange than the truck, it is by no means the only industrial setup. You may find the truck crank, the ind. crank, or something else altogether as I have found on compressors, pumps, forklifts, etc. INSPECT !
