That sounds very interesting, which Cat diesel do you have in mind? The only one I know would easily fit is the 111HP 3054T, which I think is a Perkins (Cat just bought Perkins). I'm thinking about putting a Perkins 4.236 I've owned for 23 years in a M37 with a SM420 Chevy 4spd with 5.83s, lockers, front disks and power steering with 38" Swampers for use in a village in bush Alaska.
