The weekend of June 19th there is a family re-union being hosted by one of my Cousins in Camden Maine. Since Joan will be away, I am able to travel in what ever vehicle I want. So, I have been prepping the 57 W-100 for a road trip. It is about 250 miles each way from here. Got around to installing a receiver hitch I had made last year, wired it for trailer lights. I will be pulling my small pop up trailer. Did a complete grease job, replacing the leaking valve cover gaskets, changed the oil and filter, still have a leaky rear hub seal to fix and diff, transfer case and tranny oils to check.
Rebuilt the seat today, now that is a BIG improvement. Now I will be able to sit comfortably for long periods, waiting for the tow-truck. Oops, I didnt say that, Imeant sitting for long periods of happy driving.
while nothing like Pauls Trans-Labrador excursion, a 500 mile trip in a Power Wagon should be fun!
