Todd, doing it correctly shows that you respect those who have served our country, those who are serving our country, and those who have died while serving our country.

I served over twenty years and retired from the US Army. My son has served almost twenty years in the US Army and recently returned from Mosul, Iraq. He has been reassigned to the 4th Infantry Division and will be assigned to Afganistan in the near future. My daughter-in-law has served seventeen years in the US Army - two tours in Iraq - and has been assigned to a unit that will be deploying overseas.

I expect there are many who join me in wondering what kind of person you are to even ask that question.
