they already converted a humvee to run on batteries (one motor at each wheel). im waiting for the realization that the batteries in hybrids are WAY more harmful to the environment than the excess gas a non hybrid uses. just like the squiggle bulbs that save energy but require a hazmat intervention to clean up the mercury if it breaks. it is all BS doled out the the masses to generate more taxes and more fear. global warming is now called climate change because it is actually getting colder if you care to look at the stats. dont confuse al gore with the facts. 'climate change' is driven almost 100% by the sun. solar activity = heat, solar inactivity = cold. anyone remember the little ice age? and the period of heat that preceded it? not many people driving suvs in the stone age. we have been on the earth for a fraction of its existence and accordingly have little perspective when it comes to time and planet evolution. blow the planet up with nukes, create tons of carbon, etc. really go for it! once we have made the planet unfit for us to live on, we will die and the planet will clean itself up and prepare itself for what's next.....
