Would anybody put up with that explanation on any other part of a vehicle. Sure the engines usually throw a rod by 40,000 miles, but it's constant wear that's the cause so just buy some more bolts from us. Sure the frame rivets usually pop out after a while, but it's constant wear that's the cause and we'll sell you a bag of rivets for a reasonable price. Sure the U-joints tend to blow up, but it's only because you're putting constant wear on them. Don't worry if the door hinges and latches wear out in a couple years -- it wouldn't happen if you didn't keep opening and closing the door.

Have you noticed I'm not impressed? I'm with Mike -- combat rims are proven to work. A wheel coming apart randomly is too dangerous to take a chance with. Marsh has a bad design, and rather than admit it, they seem to expect everybody to spend an hour carefully torquing the bolts, and then keep a bag of replacements on hand for when they inevitably break.
