get a pump from john bizal with the right guts in it for today's fuel. make sure your heat shield is in place. ive toyed with the idea of heat barrier applied to the heat shield, but really only had one vapor lock with my 230 equipped trucks. there is a guy on long island that advertises in hemmings that is close to me in fort salonga. http://www.arthurgouldrebuilders.com/
he advertises rebuilding services with modern fuel tolerant parts. next time i have problem, ill bring my pump to him. i might even bring my new take off spare (came off a crate motor) to rebuild in advance.
