as an X californian & X nevada person
before prop 13 in california a lot of retired
people had to sell homes they had been for
decades because someone bought a house near
theirs and their value (and taxes) went up
to match the sold property.
with prop 13 you buy a house you pay taxes
based on what you paid 1% of the sale price
thats it. others in the area do not suffer.
should be in all states.
