That is so true,, my dad fought with the British army in the first world war, dropped acid on the date line of his discharge papers to get into the Canadian army (he was too old)for the second, got wounded both times and I only caught bits of it when other military buddies came around for a beer which was not often.
When I wanted to join he lost it,, told me if I signed up he would kick my a$$ around the block and do the same to the enlisting officer,, my mom was hiding when ha went into his rant,, he was a scarey guy,, tougher than nails and all military,, all I was allowed to say was "YES SIR" he was ALWAYS right even when he was wrong,, I never got a resentment cause I kn ow what he went through,, never heard of PTSD back then,,, just tough it out. May God bless them one and all.
