There are two Charter Dealers on that hit list.

1914: Seventeen year old Ralph Bollinger and his brother C.C. started up a Dodge Brothers dealership in Lakeview, Michigan.

That same year George T. Tator of South Salem, New York signed up for a Dodge Brothers dealership as well.

1939: Dodge awarded Silver Anniverary plaques to its charter dealers for their 25 years of business.

1964: Dodge published a list of its 29 remaining charter dealers that had been in business for 50 years.

1989: Dodge honored their seven remaining charter dealers for the 75th anniversary.

2009: Our government rewards these two dealerships for their 95 years of service by giving them the axe.

If we have a free market, then any dealer that isn't making it would fold. No need for the gooberment to put many people out of jobs. Will these axed dealers be looking for other brands to sell now, like imports?
