On May 2nd we went over to Canfield, Ohio to the annual spring swapmeet. With the exception of a few of the younger generation working in the vending trailers and the few that were dragged there it looked like an AARP flea market. The same folks hauling around basically the same trailer loads of stuff that now has more trailered miles on it than probably what the original vehicle that it was removed from had on it. Yes there were some younger folks there that were carrying out big speakers and plastic bumper covers along with spoilers. The car corral had a lot of vehicles for sale and the usual price discussions between buyers and sellers of these cars were not to be found. We saw absolutely no twenty or thirty year olds displaying their restored vehicles. There were a couple thirty somethings that had rat rodded some of the old Model A's. I think our 50ish generation failed to pass the flag of interest to the younger generation.
