Chris, John, Keith, Jerry, and Brian. Thank you all for taking the time to enter your comments and suggestions. I have printed them all and will do a little more research. I googled "King winches" like Brian suggested, and all I found were the CJ Koenig series of Kings which look different and are smaller of course. As Chris stated, I did find numbers stamped into each piece. I will record these and start googling them. Plus try to decode them. Might have to contact Tulsa, etc. I agree with John and Jerry on the pulling capacity. I am sure they are 20k lbs or larger. Also, what Chris said about the stamped brackets, that probably makes them from the 60's or newer. What is intersting is the spool handle. It appears to be of an older fancier design, like an MU2 handle as opposed to an M35 handle. I will post more when I know more. Anybody want to reign subjectively on what would be a fair value to try to move these along at ? I am sure it might depend on who they are sold to, ie: mv vehicle collector vs industrial, etc.
All I know is I have 5, and definitely do not need 5. Interstingly, I found a Tulsa Distributor that had very similar 30k lb winches with no cable and no brackets. The price for a new one on the web was over
$ 6800.00. Not that I expect to get anywhere near that for them. What do you all think would be a fair price to turn them quickly, and to be fair to a buyer ?
Many thanks, as usual...
