Tulsa winches were found on the halftracks and scout cars during WW2, they were 20,000 lb capacity on first layer of rope, they were also used under some contracts on the bomb service trucks as the rear deck winch to lift the bombs, larger Tulsas were found on the 4, 7 & 10 ton prime movers during WW2 as front mounted and deck mounted wiches. They are very stout! Most likely your winch has a 1.5" worm shaft, if so it is a 20,000lb, if larger it may be a 25,000 or 30,000 lb winch! Very heavy and well made though! Have fun!
