you are likely correct about using it to build and there are methods im sure i know nothing about. when i use the 105 and 205 west products, they don't seem to penetrate the surface of the wood. when i use the cpes which flows like diesel fuel, i get deep penetration and little to no surface build. the cpes demos show driling a hole in one end of a timber and filling it. after a short while, the stuff wets the opposite end grain. they are both good and although i love wood boats, i wouldnt want one of my own.
id take a woodie power wagon though....
