The West System ( Wet Epoxy Saturation Technique) is a penetrating epoxy, very viscous. That is how they get the wood
...'saturation'... for their process. This is a true epoxy, not like a polyester resin.
I did loose control one time and did a 19 foot CC Sportsman bottom in WEST. It was amazing, tough like you could not believe. But it was hard, no give, hard ride in high chop.
