A lot of present day builders and restorers are using the WEST System ( Wet Epoxy Saturation Technique) for entire boat construction. Hacker Marine and others swear by it, ( It a fast build). In most cases, staples are used as fasteners as layers of plywood are added with the WEST System, then the staples are pulled when cured. Even hull planking is WEST on all 4 sides. The WEST System does have a place in this world, but I am to traditional on Mahogany Boats to accept it. Its strength is not a question.
