Jeeps ever have combat rims?

I bought a wheel at a swap meet this weekend that looks similar to a Willys 16" wheel, but instead of having a drop center, the front and back half of the rim bolts together. In fucntionality, it reminds me of a WWII combat wheel.

Has anybody ever seen anything like this? The wheel I bought looks brand new. It probably fell off a shipment of Chinese tractor wheels or something? I wouldn't mind finding 3 or 4 more for my Kaiser.
