As heartily as I agree with your point in this post, I would guess this subject has been hammered on more than "how or how not to change split rims", "whether to read the manual or to try everyone's different opinion of what kind of oil to use", or "how much is too much to ask for your Power Wagon", or....???? I sure don't have the answers on these or on the current subject you brought up, just my opinions. And I don't think there is any way this administration or any other will turn it around. There is too much money to be made by the big CEOs and the people who make the laws for them to want to change things. I think the problem is that the majority of the "men on the street" will buy a Kia or a Hyundai because it costs less than a US made car. And they will buy a Chinese vise because it costs less than a US made vise, etc., etc. Most people are influenced by the cost to the extent that they are willing to sacrifice quality. Do they even consider quality? Maybe not. And....many so-called "US made" products are composed of "imported" products. And....as you said, "i am not saying imported goods are bad, there are some great things that cross the pond", well, this is true too. So, where is the answer? JH
