exactly why it shouldn't have gotten tax payer funds. cerebus capital was not a public company but an investment firm. they rolled the dice and lost. the union went along for the ride, happy to take the gains, but did not participate in the losses. obama stepped in and 'leveled' the playing field to repay the unions for their votes. building the trucks in mexico? amazing how nafta works isnt it? lose jobs in the US, but the US provides the bailout! unfortunately i have heard the mexican dodges are better but that might just be hearsay as i dont know that first hand.
