You need to find a Double Acting fuel pump. M-37's had this type of pump installed on them. Was an option on civilian vehicles in the 40's and 50's. They are out there but hard to find. With this type of pump, the wipers will not stall on acceleration. AC Delco and Carter manufactured them.
