I have 4.88s and run at about 58 to 62 that keeps me below 3200 rpms with the tires I have. It is poly powered so doesnt mind the wind up. Even on the good roads another result of having shocks was less toll on me as a driver. the shock number I run is 555012 Monroe. I think the same shock works onthe W300 because the lower mount is just flipped upside down raising the pin to compensate for the lift block. about 40 bucks a piece, very heavy duty gas shock.
