I went to look at a couple of Power Wagons today. One was for sure a B1 PW126, according to the tag on the cab.
The first truck with the cab ID tag had 750:16 tires. I understand this could indicate the higher gears, but also could simply mean that someone put them on because that is what they had. Are there any other clues or positive indicators of the gear ratio?
The second truck had a set of 36" tall radials. The owner said he had driven that truck at 65 mph. He said he thought the reason it did that was because it had the higher gears. Is this likely the case? And agaain, are there any other clues or indicators to look for?
Thanks. Jerry
