I had the same problem on my 91 w-250.I changed everthing, even the king pins,and lower bearings. I had the axels out and the u-joints seemed fine. But it was a bad u-joint. When driving, the bad joint had to rotate to a "sweet spot" then the truck went nuts, the steering would bind up. I even took the truck to a front end shop, and they could't find the problem. I put 2 new u-joints in, problem gone.
