I got lucky on New Years day and only took some skin of my thumb. It is mostly healed but there is a little meat missing and some scar material ans some loss of my finger print.
I went in to a saw dealer to get some parts for my saw and they tried to sell me a Stop Saw. Man all I can say is that the block of alumimum that his the blade is really interesting to look at after a blad has hit it. The blade is imbedded into the block of alumimum. It looks like the blade stops with about 3 or 4 teeth of saw blade rotation. The blade appears to be undammaged although I know that it is destroyed. I wonder if they ever have blades explode into pieces as the block is jammed into it or if the block is soft enough to absorb the energy. I would hate to be around when a blade came apart.
