I have finally started to put my PW right. It has taken me awhile to come to terms with what I want to do with this old girl.
I couldn't decide whether to do a total restore or just a general cleanup and keep her looking her 60 + years of age. I have chosen to let her grow old gracefully instead of the whole facelift, cologen, breat implant thing.
I need to know what type of carb was present on the 48's (a picture including the linkage setup as this one is botched together).
I am sure I'm missing absolutley any rubber trim that ever came with vehicle. Ex:
around the doors, front vent, trans cover, fenders, etc, but I need to know what is required.
I will need a heater to match the year of the truck. Presently I have this huge monstrosity that takes up most of the cab.
I am missing the drivers door inside cover.
Also missing is every piece of trim from inside the cab including review mirror and dome light. I am sure these trucks came with these items.
I would like to get the from bumpers that are made to fit around the winch.
Right now I have a flat deck on the frame, but I think a pick up box would be the proper way to go.
Biggest thing right now is to do a strip down, clean up and generally make sure everything is in order.
Oh, yes, a newer steering wheel, horn button and horn would also be nice.
As I am in British Columbia this might be a bit of a long term wish list.
