G, the Dana 20 is a single stick and you can shift in and out of 4wd at highway speeds... great for patchy ice. I had one for a long time in my 74 CJ5. The Dana 18 is a twin stick. Wish my PWTW could stay in 4wd on the highway. Don't know why the Dana 44 has a 4.09 ratio instead of the 4.10. I guess so it pulls in 4wd. Gar
