You can buy good masking tape or real crappy masking tape...it all just depends what you're using it for. We used to buy the cheap stuff here in the shipyard but it seems like it's getting worse & worse. If it gets any moisture...good luck removing it...or even getting it off the roll!
In general I agree though, but I only ever buy 3M tape now regardless of cost.
It won't be long before that's made in China too...inevitably they all have to give in if we can't afford the $9/roll "North American made" prices.
