Chris Craft stopped production of boats, they licensed the Chris Craft name to other companies who built boats. Chris Craft donated all their records ie; Hull Number Cards, Mechanical Drawings, photos to Mariners Museum in Virginia. All in all there were quite a few trailer truck loads of archives received by Mariners Museum. All were cataloged and a new area of the museum created for the Chris Craft History. Thanks to this foresight by Chris Craft and Mariners Museum, records on all boats are still available.

Lets hope in the worst case, Chrysler does something of equivalence in the Auto/Truck World to preserve the archives and history.
