When i was apprentecing i took a course on diagnosis the was how to determine what a problem exsited if any > that course seperated the wheat from the chaff in the repair bussinses > for example take a engine with a miss > if you take your time and follow SIMPLE steps first check the plug then the wire then the cap, compression test the cylinder and this leads you to a DEFINETE conclussion > it the same for brakes . linings ,adjustment fluid leaks component checks then and then take things apart always start out by checking every thing for causes once you determined for sure what is wrong then isolate the prob and repair as neccasary and if you consult someone on this forum plenty of PRE ADVICE is available ~ Copey
