Do we know that Fiat will actually pay money for Chrysler? The way the forced mergers in the banking industry have been going is that the government basically pays a bigger bank to take over the failing smaller one, like Washington Mutual. At this point, if nobody else wants Chrysler, and Obama's ordered them to merge with Fiat, what possible reason does Fiat have for paying anything at all?
